Hepatitis C has become a very curable disease and is no longer the leading cause of liver transplantation in the United States due to new medications. Of course, it isn't easy to obtain coverage for these medications unless a patient has fibrosis (Stage F2). New pan-genotypic regimens such as Epclusa are now available.
